I have seen an improvement in Sarah inasmuch as she did not want to even pick a book up before. She is still guessing and her confidence needs building also but we are getting there.

Just to let you know, from total resistance to reading Sophie now insists on doing easyread before school and said today “I’m so proud of myself” on completing her lesson. What a transformation!

Easyread is amazing! It has really boosted Emily’s self confidence. She loves reading books again. It has also helped with her writing. School has also noticed an improvement in her work. She still has a long way to go but I now feel we will get there.

The programme is going really well and we are continuing to see progress -
1) We don’t have to show just one word to Connor anymore
2) He isn’t loosing his place so often
3) He builds up the words - rarely guesses
4) He is building up long words really succesfully

We think that the relationship with David though long distance, hearing his voice, helped Charlie to connect with him. I think the regularity of the lesson and the short bite size lessons were intrinsic to his success. We think the blue screen helped to read the copy. All in all it was a fantastic experience. [...]
