My husband and I are both very happy with her progress, Katy is flying through this stage, we do not want to move her on at present as we feel lots of practise is beneficial, we may move her forward in the future if she is becoming bored with it and needs to be challanged.

The system definately improves reading skills, Katy is now able to tackle words which previously she would have shy’ed away from. The characters above each word mean that Katy is not frightened of trying to sound them out even really tricky words as there is always a reminder there for her. We had a huge breakthrough last week, my husband found Katy reading a story (The Little Red Hen)to her younger sister, she was able to read almost every word without difficulty and had a go at sounding out the rest, we were so proud of her, and more importantley she was proud of herself, she said ‘mummy I actually read that book, I didn’t make any of it up, I could read it’, even now sitting here thinking about it it brings a tear to my eyes. I cannot express strongly enough just what it meant to be able to watch her acheive; later that evening she read the same book to me and did brilliantly.

Thank you so much for setting up this system, I would certainly recommend it to any parents of a child who is struggling to read, it will not only improve their reading skills but it will boost their cofidence dramatically. Hope this has given you the feedback you needed.
