When jack started easyread he was Reading “Treetops” books stage 9, which their web suggests are an approximate Reading age of 7 yr 6 mths to 8 yrs (when he was a month off 9 yrs). At the same time his school said his Reading age was 18 mths behind his actual age.

He has now moved onto stage 12, which suggests a Reading age of 9 to 9 yrs 6 mths. He is 9 yrs 3 mths.

He has also offered to read out loud in school recently. His teacher selected him, and said he did very well.

So, don’t want to get too excited, but looks like we are well on our way!
