The Easyread System is improving low literacy levels of children living in supported housing outside Washington DC, as a part of a Magic Johnson Community Empowerment Center initiative.

ph1069_w600_h469The center, in Bladensburg (Maryland), launched a free comprehensive after-school program in September to coincide with the new academic year. 20 students resident in the estate are participating in the program, which aims to provide one-on-one help and tutoring for children who are not reaching their full academic potential.

Easyread is the literacy system of choice that is being made available to the children at no cost. We are delighted to be supporting these children on their path to literacy.
