The actress Lorraine Bracco, famous for her roles in Goodfellas and The Sopranos, has recently opened up about her struggles with dyslexia.

Growing up, she felt “stupid and dumb” compared to her siblings. She struggled all the way through school with reading, writing, and math. To compensate for that, she turned to the theater, and auditioned for school plays where she excelled.

But only in recent years has she addressed the chronic low confidence that all those years of struggles left her with.
