Blake is doing really well with the reading. He might make a few mistakes, but usually just with long words. In the last 4 months his handwriting has really improved and so has his spelling.
The other night I came home from work late and he had secretly written me a note. He had pretended it was from his teacher and that he had been given a detention. I was pleased that he had wanted to write something by himself when he hadn’t been asked and it was a funny joke (he does have a good sense of humour!)
His teacher is really happy with his progress especially with reading, writing and spelling. In fact he was the only child in his school (which has 380 students in total) to be awarded a special persistence award. We were so proud of him!
